Dean Kalant
is an associate at the firm. Dean concentrates on business litigation,
transactions and counseling, including shareholder, partner and
corporate ownership disputes, employment disputes, real estate
transactions and financial institution advisement.
Dean graduated
cum laude from The John Marshall Law School in May, 2010.
During law school, Dean served as a judicial extern for the Honorable
Barbara J. McDonald in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division.
Dean also worked for the City of Chicago, Law Department while
in law school, representing the City in a multi-million dollar
civil-RICO action.
In law school,
Dean served as a Lead Articles Editor for The John Marshall Law
Review. While on Law Review, Dean's student-comment, focusing
on close/shell corporation transparency requirements and reform,
was selected for publication. Dean was also involved in The John
Marshall Moot Court Program, advancing to the elimination rounds
in the Ruby R. Vale Interschool Corporate Moot Court Competition
in Wilmington, Delaware.
Prior to law
school, Dean attended Indiana University - Bloomington. At Indiana,
Dean was accepted to the Kelley School of Business and graduated
with a major in finance.
