David Americus joined the firm in 1988 and is a partner. David
concentrates on business litigation, transactions and counseling,
and has extensive experience working with, advising and representing
companies engaged in a variety of industries, including, without
limitation, professional sports, entertainment venues, manufacturing
and other service sectors.
David's litigation practice includes matters involving breach
of contract, discrimination, harassment, shareholder and partner
disputes, commercial lease disputes, fraud, negligent misrepresentation,
tortious interference, defamation, restrictive covenants, and
other employment and business issues. David regularly appears
in federal and state courts and before local administrative agencies,
including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Illinois
Department of Human Rights.
David has also drafted innumerable contracts, including employment,
sponsorship, licensing, and rental agreements, and provides counseling
to businesses on issues such as employee discipline and discharge,
workplace investigation, disability accommodation, and other employment
issues.
